Teleprompter for iPad.
A big, bright screen you already own. Free in Safari with no App Store download, and on Pro the booth can drive it from a phone without anyone touching it.
Free plan · No download · No account · Nothing uploaded
ScrollCue is a free iPad teleprompter running in Safari with no App Store download. The large screen suits pulpit stands, studio rigs, and stage use. On Pro, an iPad can be a teleprompter or a confidence monitor within Event Mode, driven remotely from a phone.
The iPad is the prompter screen you already have
Large, bright, easy to mount, and probably in a drawer somewhere. For a pulpit stand, a studio rig, or a stage display it is a better screen than almost anything you would go out and buy on purpose, and it costs nothing extra.
Free on iPad
- The full prompter: smooth scroll, markup, sections, notes
- Font sizes right up to the range you need at pulpit distance
- Mirror mode for beam-splitter rigs
- Red dim, which matters more on a big bright screen on a dark stage than it does anywhere else
- Installs to the home screen and works offline
Pro on iPad
- Join an event as a teleprompter, driven by Studio
- Or as a confidence monitor with the countdown and cue band
- Controlled from a phone in the booth, so nobody walks on stage
- Recording and Voice Follow if you are using it as your camera device
Stage and church setups
The most common church setup we see is an iPad clamped to a pulpit stand running the script, with the AV booth pairing a phone to control it. No software licence, no dedicated hardware, and a volunteer can be shown how it works in about two minutes.
If you also want a screen at the front of the stage for a speaker who moves around, a second iPad or any browser-capable display becomes a confidence monitor with the countdown and the cue band on it.
