Read over your camera, or your slides.
Put your own live camera behind the script and your eyes stay where the lens is. Or put a screen share back there and read while presenting along with what the audience is seeing.

ScrollCue Pro can render your live camera feed or a screen share behind the scrolling script, with an adjustable dim so the text stays readable. The camera background is used for eye-contact practice and recording. The screen-share background lets you read while presenting along with your slides.
Camera behind the script
This is the software version of what a glass rig does with mirrors. Your live camera feed fills the stage, the script scrolls on top of it, and an adjustable dim keeps the words readable against whatever is behind them. Because you are looking at your own face, you are also looking at the lens, and the gap that gives away a reading eye simply is not there.
It is also the fastest way to fix your own delivery. You can see, live, whether your eyes are wandering, whether you are drifting out of frame, and whether the light is doing something unfortunate. Most people fix three things in the first minute of ever seeing it.
Screen share behind the script
Swap the camera for a window or a whole screen and you can read the script while looking at your slides. This is the answer for anyone who has ever presented a deck from a script and had to keep glancing at a second monitor to check what the audience is currently staring at. It is all in one place now, and the dim keeps the text on top of it legible.
Use the camera background for
- Practising eye contact before a take
- Recording, where the camera is behind the script anyway
- Any solo shoot where you want the prompter effect without buying glass
Use the screen background for
- Presenting a deck you are also scripted for
- Walkthroughs and demos where you narrate what is on screen
- Webinars where the slides and the script have to stay in step
Frequently asked questions
What is a camera background?
Your live camera feed renders behind the scrolling script, with an adjustable dim so the text stays readable. You read with your face already in frame, which is what a glass rig achieves optically.
Do people on my video call see the script?
No. This renders on your screen. It is not a virtual camera and it does not change what your call software sends out.
Is this free?
No, backgrounds are Pro. Included in the $4.99 day pass and the $99 annual plan.
