How ScrollCue works.

Paste a script, pick how it should move, and press play. Everything runs in the browser on your device. Nothing installs and nothing uploads.

Free plan · No download · No account · Nothing uploaded

Quick answer

ScrollCue runs entirely in your browser. Paste a script, choose smooth scroll or Voice Follow, and press play. Scripts are stored on your device, recordings save locally, and paired devices connect directly to each other rather than through a server.

1

Get your script in

Paste it, upload a .txt or .md file, or drop in a Google Drive link. Mark your sections with two hash marks and add presenter notes in double square brackets if you want things visible only to you.

2

Set the display

Font, size, line height, column width, cue line position and style, colours. The panel fades while you drag a slider so you can see the actual result rather than the control. Everything you set is remembered.

3

Pick how it moves

Smooth scroll runs at a speed you choose, which is right for rehearsal and fixed-length reads. Voice Follow listens and moves at your pace, which is right for recording. You can switch between them freely.

4

Press play

A three-two-one countdown, then it rolls. Tap anywhere to pause or resume. Thirty seconds in, if you have not touched anything, the controls fade away and you are left with the words.

5

Record, or bring in other devices

On Pro, hit record and the camera comes up behind the script. Or open Event Mode, show a QR code, and start pairing prompters, monitors, and remotes.

Where things actually run

This matters more than it sounds, so here it is plainly.

Your script

Stored in the browser on the device you typed it into. It is not sent to us and there is no copy on a server.

Voice Follow

Speech recognition runs in your browser. Your microphone audio is not transmitted and not stored.

Recording

The browser writes the file to your disk. Nothing is uploaded, nothing is processed elsewhere, and there is no cloud copy to lose access to.

Event Mode

Paired devices connect directly to each other, peer to peer. Your script does not pass through a relay server. Browser tabs on the same computer connect with no setup at all.

Payment

Stripe handles it at checkout. Afterwards you get a code tied to the name you paid with. That is the whole access system, which is why there is no account.

Try it now.

Nothing to install, nothing to sign up for.

Frequently asked questions

Does ScrollCue need a download?

No. It runs in Chrome or Safari on any device. You can install it to your home screen if you want it to launch standalone and work offline, but that is optional.

Where is my script stored?

In the browser on your device. It is not sent anywhere. Clearing your browser data clears it, which is the trade-off of not having an account.

Does Voice Follow send my audio to a server?

No. It is processed in your browser on your device.

How do multiple devices connect?

By QR code or share link, and then directly to each other. Nothing passes through a server. Tabs on the same computer connect automatically.

Which browsers work?

Chrome and Safari are the ones to use. Most display and scroll features work elsewhere, but the speech and media APIs that Voice Follow and recording rely on are best supported in those two.
