Church halls, conference basements, hotel function rooms. If you have ever run anything in one, you know how this goes. ScrollCue installs to your device and the core prompter runs offline, so a dead connection is an inconvenience rather than the end of the show.
How to install it

Open ScrollCue in your browser
Safari on iPhone and iPad, Chrome on Android and desktop.

Choose Add to Home Screen
On iOS it is in the share menu. On Android and desktop Chrome you will usually be offered an install prompt directly.

Launch it from the icon
It opens standalone, full screen, with no address bar. Your script and settings are already there.
What still needs a connection
The prompter itself does not. Event Mode obviously needs the devices to be able to reach each other, since that is the entire point, though they talk to each other rather than through the internet. Pull the script down before you leave the house and the rest will hold.
It behaves like an app because it is one
Notch and safe-area aware, so nothing important hides behind a camera cutout. Haptic feedback on the controls. Every screen has a clean URL you can bookmark or send to someone, which no native app has ever managed. And there is nothing to update, because it updates itself.
