Teleprompter for live events.
Several speakers, several screens, one operator. Studio pushes the script, drives every prompter, feeds the confidence monitors, and keeps one countdown that every device agrees on.
Free plan · No download · No account · Nothing uploaded
ScrollCue Event Mode runs live events from one Studio device, driving up to ten teleprompters, confidence monitors with a synced countdown, and a phone remote. Devices pair by QR and connect peer to peer, so nothing passes through a server and there is no account to provision for a venue crew.
Events break in predictable ways
Someone joins late. A speaker overruns. The Wi-Fi in the basement conference suite behaves like Wi-Fi in a basement conference suite. A device drops and nobody notices until the next speaker walks on to a blank screen.
All of that is designed for rather than hoped about. Late joiners sync instantly and get the script, the timer, the branding, and the exact scroll position. Dropped links are caught by heartbeats within seconds and come back with one tap. And nothing depends on a server being reachable, because the devices talk directly to each other.
What the operator has
One place to drive from
- Push the script to every device with one tap
- Play, pause, and stop every prompter at once
- Jump sections as the running order changes on the day, because it will
- Switch the video feed between camera and screen share mid-show
One countdown everyone believes
- Drift-corrected clock sync, so the monitor at the back and the tablet on stage show the same number
- Set anything from seconds to hours
- Nine preset cues plus free text, in a bordered band the speaker cannot mistake for the script
- A big red countdown on the confidence monitor, readable from the back
Branding across every screen
Set the logo, the organisation name, and the colours once in Studio and every connected device themes itself, with automatic contrast so the text stays readable whatever the client's brand guidelines have inflicted on you. Useful when a screen ends up in a photograph, which at a conference it always does.
The kit you actually need
A laptop for Studio. A tablet or two for the prompters. Any screen that opens a browser for a confidence monitor. A phone for the remote. That is it. There is no hardware to hire, nothing to install on a venue machine, and no account for a crew you have never met to be provisioned with an hour before doors.
Frequently asked questions
How many speakers can it handle?
Up to ten teleprompter devices at once, plus confidence monitors and a remote, all driven from a single Studio device.
What if a device joins after the show starts?
It syncs immediately. Script, countdown, branding, and the current scroll position all arrive the moment it connects.
Does it need reliable venue Wi-Fi?
Devices connect directly to each other rather than through a server, and dropped links are detected within seconds with a one-tap reconnect. It is built for venue networks rather than assuming a good one.
Do we need to install anything on the venue machines?
No. It runs in a browser, and there is no account to set up for anyone.
Can I brand the screens for a client?
Yes. Set the logo, name, and colours in Studio and every connected device themes itself with automatic contrast.
