Confidence monitor for the front of stage.
Any spare screen becomes a broadcast-style confidence monitor. It follows whoever is currently driving the script, shows the countdown big enough to read from the back, and carries cues from the booth.
Free plan · No download · No account · Nothing uploaded
ScrollCue turns any connected screen into a confidence monitor showing a live script strip that follows whoever is driving, a large countdown timer, a cue band, and Studio's video feed as the background. It is landscape optimised and joins by QR pairing. Confidence monitor is a Pro feature within Event Mode.
What a speaker actually needs to see
Standing on a stage, you want four things and no more: the line you are on, how much time is left, whether the booth is trying to tell you something, and ideally what the camera is seeing. A confidence monitor gives you exactly those and nothing else to distract you.
On screen
- A live script strip that follows the reader in real time, whoever is driving it, whether that is the host, a remote operator, or the prompter itself.
- A big red countdown you can read from the back of the room.
- A bordered cue band that lights up when the booth sends something.
- Studio's camera or screen share running behind it all.
Practicalities
- Landscape optimised, because a monitor at the front of a stage is always landscape.
- Pairs by scanning Studio's QR code, same as any other device.
- Themed with your event branding, with automatic contrast so the text stays legible.
- Joins late without a problem and picks up the current position immediately.
You almost certainly already own the screen
An old tablet, a spare laptop, a TV with a browser, a monitor on an arm. Anything that can open a web page and be pointed at the stage will do. This is the point of building it in a browser rather than selling hardware.
Switching the video source mid-show
Studio can flip between its camera and a screen share while everything is running, and the monitor picks up the new source without reconnecting. Useful when a speaker moves from talking to walking through slides and back again.
Frequently asked questions
What is a confidence monitor?
A screen at the front of a stage showing the speaker what they need: their current line, the time remaining, any cue from the booth, and often the camera feed. ScrollCue turns any browser-capable screen into one.
What hardware do I need?
A screen that can open a web page. A spare tablet, an old laptop, a TV with a browser, or a monitor on an arm all work.
Does the monitor follow whoever is scrolling?
Yes. The script strip tracks whoever is currently driving, whether that is the host, a phone remote, or a teleprompter device.
Is the confidence monitor free?
No, it is part of Event Mode, which is Pro. Included in the $4.99 day pass and the $99 annual plan.
