The Desview T3 is a beam-splitter teleprompter accepting phones and small tablets up to roughly seven inches. Any teleprompter with mirror mode will drive it, including ScrollCue, which is free, browser-based, and requires no app download.
The T3 accepts a device up to roughly seven inches, which in practice means any phone including the largest Pro Max sizes, and some of the smaller tablets if you measure first. Check yours before you order rather than after.
Open ScrollCue in the browser on whatever device you are mounting. Turn on mirror mode. That is the setup. There is nothing to install, no account, and it does not care that the rig says Desview on it.
The glass flips the text. Without this you are reading backwards and will conclude, wrongly, that your rig is faulty.
Go bigger than feels necessary on a desk. Reading through glass costs you contrast.
The beam-splitter is only reflecting some of the light back at you. What looked bright in your hand will look grey under glass.
The reverse problem. A bright phone under glass on a dark stage will bounce light everywhere and your gaffer will find you.
Once the device is behind the glass it is unreachable. This is true of every beam-splitter rig ever made and it is the single most annoying thing about them.
Pair a phone as a remote and you get transport, speed, and section jumps from across the room. If you are shooting alone this is not optional, it is what turns a rig from a nuisance into a tool.
