The cue line
The cue line is where your eye sits while the words come to it. Everyone's is in a slightly different place, which is why you can put it anywhere between 15% and 75% down the screen rather than being stuck with someone else's guess. Choose an arrow, a plain line, or a soft glow depending on how much of a marker you want in your peripheral vision.
If you have never thought about this before: try moving it higher than feels natural. Most people set it too low and end up reading with their eyes pointed slightly down, which is exactly the look everyone is trying to avoid.
Red dim mode
A white screen on a dark stage is a lighting problem for everyone else in the room and a night-vision problem for you. Red dim knocks the whole display back to a dim red at an adjustable strength, which keeps the text readable without lighting up the front row or wrecking your eyes for the walk offstage.
Theming
Background and text colour pickers with presets and a full custom wheel, which works properly on mobile rather than being one of those colour inputs that gives up on a phone. The browser chrome and the notch colour follow along, so on a phone the whole device looks like it belongs to the app rather than to a web page.
Zen mode
Thirty seconds into a roll, if nobody has touched anything, every control fades out. What is left is your words and a thin progress hairline. Move the mouse or tap the screen and everything comes back. You do not have to do anything to get this, and it is the reason a ScrollCue read looks clean on a monitor that happens to be in shot.
